STANDARDS FOR INSTRUCTORS
WORLD TEAM MARTIAL ARTS
These are the standards that all instructors on our team follow.
Learn about the requirements and benefits of teaching on behalf of this great family.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
PRESERVATION OF TECHNIQUE AND METHOD
World Team Martial Arts has a specific way of understanding and teach the techniques of the systems it spreads. It is an essential requirement that all Instructors teach them in this way that distinguishes the team.
One of the strongest reasons why LutaLivreUniversity.com was created was to provide support to all instructors through videos and texts, with the aim of constantly remembering this conception of technique and our methodology, transforming our online university into a permanent consultation tool.
We have a specific way of developing, applying and teaching techniques.
There are very specific details and very clearly described concepts that are the basis of the identity and method of World Team Martial Arts.
It is of utmost importance that instructors maintain the purity of the method and technique.
PRESERVATION OF PROTOCOL RULES
The styles we cover in World Team Martial Arts are more than a set of techniques; They also have protocol rules that include how to behave in classes, in the Dojo, rules of presentation of the Dojo, official uniform, etc.
These are components that build the identity, mainly of Brazilian Luta Livre, and differentiate it from a mere Grappling system.
Both the Art of Brazilian Luta Livre and World Team Martial Arts have a history, they have masters and they have a very particular way of seeing the martial art.
Each Instructor must be aware and knowledgeable of the entire theoretical section because it is an important part of our identity.
A World Team Martial Arts Instructor must be complete; he must not only be committed to the transmission of the techniques of our martial art... he must be committed to teaching in all its facets.
LOYALTY AND COMMITMENT
We provide instructors with technical and structural support and we also promote and disseminate their activities. We require loyalty and word to respect the commitments they have made and to be loyal to our team and our Master. This is the most important point.
TEAMWORK
We are convinced that a team that needs to grow requires the fundamental and irreplaceable contribution of each Instructor.
We do not believe in isolated work, because all statistics clearly show that isolation is less likely to succeed than teamwork as part of a large structure.
World Team Martial Arts needs the help of its instructors and the way to do this is by working in communion, harmony and walking in the same direction and with the same objectives.
We are sure that the isolated work of an Instructor is a selfish decision that is detrimental to the growth of his students, his colleagues and our team.
CONDUCT
Each Instructor must be an example of respect and good conduct towards everyone (students, parents, colleagues, teachers, etc.). Impeccable conduct is something that we give great importance to at World Team Martial Arts, because the instructors are the image of the team.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
CLASSES WITH THE WORLD TEAM MARK
As mentioned in the previous points, classes must maintain the World Team method and its protocol rules.
This includes, among other components:
- Initial and final traditional forms and all names and protocol rules during a class.
- Use of the official uniform for Instructors (always) and use by students.
- Teaching of the techniques as they are transmitted in World Team.
- Teaching of World Team programs.
GUARANTEE OF TESTS
World Team Martial Arts has a great attachment to the incentive for students to take belt tests as a fundamental part of its short and medium term objectives, seeking to optimize their perseverance and for the benefit of their progress.
Each Instructor must guarantee annually a minimum of 10 belt tests by their students or the equivalent in money (in Yellow Belt Tests fees) through a transfer at the beginning of the year. Once this number is completed, the amount will be refunded instantly or in the form of exam credits (as required by the Instructor).
BELT TESTS
Organization or participation with students in at least 2 belt tests meetings per year, with a minimum of 10 students in total.
PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES
There are optional activities (of varying importance) and mandatory activities (such as international seminars, relevant tournaments, etc.).
Collaborative participation by each Instructor is important to help the organizers (who are often colleagues) to be successful and, consequently, everyone benefits.
BENEFITS
MAXIMUM ECONOMIC BENEFITS IN STUDENT TESTS
Regardless of the rank of the Instructor who presents students for exams, he always receives 50% of the value of the evaluation fee. This percentage is generally not granted to instructors until they obtain high ranks. In the case of World Team Martial Arts, we always seek the maximum possible profit for instructors.
ECONOMIC BENEFITS IN BELT TESTS FROM STUDENTS OF STUDENT-INSTRUCTORS
If an Instructor creates a structure of students who become instructors too and, in turn, present students to take tests, he obtains extra economic benefits.
That is, he benefits economically from tests fees from practitioners who are not his own students.
ECONOMIC BENEFITS IN ALL ACTIVITIES
Beyond the benefits obtained in the exams of their own students and their student-instructors, each World Team Martial Arts Instructor has economic participation in all the activities in which their students participate, such as official tournaments, seminars and general training, etc.
FREEDOM TO ORGANIZE OFFICIAL TOURNAMENTS (WITH THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS)
The organization of tournaments is something that World Team Martial Arts delegates to its instructors so that they benefit both professionally and economically.
World Team Martial Arts provides them with officialization, support, knowledge, regulations and supervision.
In important tournaments, the other instructors have a policy of supporting them, so that the organizers can have a minimum number of participants.
Tournaments are undoubtedly an opportunity to position oneself against other teams from one's region and a chance to obtain economic benefits.
FREEDOM TO ORGANIZE OFFICIAL TRAININGS
At World Team Martial Arts, instructors are the main protagonists. That is why we grant them permission to take initiatives that are useful for the team and benefit them professionally and economically.
They can organize official trainings, seminars, meetings, camps, etc.
World Team Martial Arts is part of them and, consequently, they are protagonists.
