Our Team - Our Mestre
World Team is the team led by Mestre Rolando Carrizo Ortiz who, without a doubt, has made history in Luta Livre and we are the ones who accompany his technical and philosophical line of combat, work and organization.
He was the one who created the name Brazilian Luta Livre; the one who created the first world entity of this discipline whose current name is International Brazilian Luta Livre Federation. He was the creator of belt programs with specific techniques (replacing the programs by number of techniques for each level).
In Luta Livre competitions is the coach who revolutionized the Budokan Cup with his students, setting historical records (among many other achievements).
His influence marked a before and a after in Luta Livre in several aspects and, in addition, he is 6th Dan, the highest degree among instructors who are members of the Budokan (team of Grand Master João Ricardo).
And all these achievements are capitalized and supported by our team.
But, beyond Brazilian Luta Livre, Mestre Carrizo Ortiz was the creator of instructor’s courses in combat sports (Grappling, MMA and Striking in general) through careers with subjects such as Physiology, Sports Psychology and Physical Conditioning that accompany to Didactics and Methodology to complement the technical subjects. That is, he took the teaching of combat sports to a higher level, giving instructors greater tools.
He is the first systematizer of the learning of Mixed Martial Arts, teaching it as a sport with its own characteristics and segmenting its system’s techniques to create short and medium-term goals through a degree’s scale (like belts) with specific techniques (a novelty even today).
But World Team has a quality technical line not only in Grappling and MMA.
Mestre Carrizo Ortiz is also 8th Dan of Kick Boxing, 8th Dan of Full Contact and Full Instructor in Muay Thai (Striking being his first specialty before learning about Grappling).
That is why we have teams in these systems with quality students and instructors, who advance their learning through belt and level programs created especially for them and with the same quality as those of Brazilian Luta Livre.

Instructor benefits
While learning a unique technical and teaching system could be considered the greatest benefit for the instructors who represent us, there are also others that complement them.
- ECONOMIC
An Instructor always has financial benefits obtained from his students when they participate in World Team activities (tests, seminars, tournaments).
These benefits are more important and bigger than they may seem, because one of the keys to World Team's work philosophy is to financially benefit its instructors in order to accompany them as much as possible so that they can make teaching a profession and that they don't have to have other jobs.

Learning directly provided by a Master recognized worldwide for his technique and quality in teaching and representing his team are benefits that World Team instructors have above those of other teams.
- OF VALUATION
Being part of a team with such a renowned leader and having a belt certificate signed by him and issued by his team is a differential that an official instructor can assert.
- OF REPUTATION
For many years, teams, institutions, professors and even renowned masters have been selling and even giving away degrees and titles with economic intentions and/or to expand themselves into territories that they would not normally reach. This has multiplied infinitely with the appearance of the internet, since the world has become globalized and it has been very easy to reach everywhere.
It is really sad to see great martial arts legends discrediting their own name for money by incurring in these acts, throwing their reputations overboard and causing the degrees they grant to be completely discredited sooner or later.
It is also harmful to those who buy or accept these degrees, because the stain overshadows the possible capabilities they may have, since their degrees have a dubious degree of authenticity and honesty.
The reason is simple: if a person obtains a medical degree from a university known for selling its titles, no one will trust his abilities, no matter how much he knows about medicine.
Both World Team and Mestre Carrizo Ortiz are known for always fighting against these circumstances and, therefore, his signature and the name of the team are a guarantee of quality and honesty.
At World Team we do something better than giving away degrees: we help Instructors to obtain the required level.

What do you need to do?
FIRST STEP
To teach BRAZILIAN LUTA LIVRE, MMA and/or STRIKING: Purchase the corresponding first program listed on this website.
For Brazilian Luta Livre Yellow Belt Program.
For Mixed Martial Arts it is the MMA Level 1.
For Kick Boxing it is the Striking Punches Program and the Knees & Kicks Program.
For Women's Self Defense are the corresponding technical programs: Ground Attacks and Standing Attacks.
At World Team we have a particular and specific technical and teaching method that is taught in these programs.
It doesn't matter how much experience you have in the same or similar disciplines, to teach something, you need to know it in depth, and the way to do that is by allowing us to show it to you.
Be wary of anyone who gives you the representation to teach a martial art without teaching it in depth first; maybe they are after your money and not you as a person and as a professional.
SECOND STEP
Contact us so that we can give you access to the videos. Along with them, we will send you a form for you to answer, in which we will ask you questions to find out what your concerns and objectives are within the team and also your experience.
After enrolling in the corresponding program, if you have verifiable martial arts degrees, once we analyze your form there is a great chance that we will send you a Temporary Teaching Permission, with which you would be authorized to begin teaching your group of students.
THIRD STEP
You will always have to be subscribed to the most advanced program you are teaching (for example, if your rank is Blue Belt - Stripe 4, that is the program that must be active) but you can not have an active subscription to the previous ones.
